Helgin Roller Derby is a flat-track roller derby league, based in Moray in the North East of Scotland. We are open to everyone (aged 16+) who loves to roller skate and who wants to play, officiate or support roller derby. The league was founded in February 2014 and is still recruiting members to create its first team to compete nationally.

Our beginners sessions are on Saturdays at Elgin Community Centre from 10am – 12pm and our advanced skaters train on Tuesdays 6pm – 8pm at the new Elgin High School (near Asda).

We hold regular Fresh Meat introductory courses and are always keen to meet new or experienced skaters. If you’d like to give roller derby a go, why not get in touch with us to learn more about this fantastic sport and book yourself in to join a session – we offer the first session free, and have kit available to hire, so there’s nothing to stop you giving it a go!

    1. Hi Katie! We’d love to have you join us. 🙂 If you pop along to our Saturday sessions at 10am in Elgin Community Centre (not to be confused with Moray Leisure Centre, it’s the Elgin Sports & Community Centre next to a big car park called Lossie Green), we can get you started. If you want to drop us an e-mail using the Contact Us tab with your shoe size we can set kit aside for you.

We’re also active on Facebook as ‘Helgin Roller Derby’ if that’s easier for questions.

      ~ Emma
